Topic: Drag a file and Drop onto a program in Commander

Something I use quiet often in Explorer is to drag a file and drop it onto a program (often a shortcut to the program) to open the file.  Is there a way to do this in the Commander window?  Currently I open an exporer window then drag the file onto the program's shortcut (located in the same folder) using explorer but I am using Commander because I don't want to use Explorer.

Not that i know, i added some programs into the Shortcut menu and with the context menu (right click) it will show the programs you can start with the selected file.

Re: Drag a file and Drop onto a program in Commander

If you press Ctrl+K the selected file name will be copied to the command box in the bottom of Commander.
This means that you can press Ctrl+K first on the program you want to run and then on the file you want to open, then activate the command box and press Enter. But of cause this is somewhat more cumbersome than just drag/drop...

Thank you for the reply.
You are right. The CTRL-K CTRL-K move does work but it is slow and awkward.
