Topic: Image Analyzer 1.25
Dear Mr. Vinther,
after loading a jpg-file the image looks like a scrambled image.
I used the 32-bit graphic mode. Making a map of it results a normal map image.
Best regards

Dear Dr. Weischer
Image Analyzer can read all the JPEG files I have tried it on. If you have an example file that it cannot read I would like to see it. Is it a grayscale image, perhaps 12bit coded? Did it work with earlier versions of Image Analyzer? You are welcome to send it by e-mail.
I too have noticed horizontal streaks in jpg files that are loaded by IA. See reference elsewhere her as well: http://support.meesoft.com/viewtopic.php?id=369 . I think this might be a bug, since no other programme that can read jpgs has this problem, and others are experiencing the same thing as well. I would have overlooked it entirely since I mostly convert to bmp, process and then reconvert to jpg or png, but I tried loading the jpg in that post in IA, PaintShopPro, Irfan, and XnView, and only IA loaded with horizontal streaks. The jpg that was posted was progressive, so I decided to try regular jpgs, and obtained the same results with all the programmes listed.
Hornet777, are you refering to the image http://allspark.net/cypherswipe/noisystripes.jpg ?
On my computer it looks exactly the same when loaded in Image Analyzer and when viewed in Internet Explorer.
Yes, but affects all jpgs. I'll make a screen shot and fwd it by e-mail.
It would seem that I resolved the issue by moving JPEGImport.dll from the \ProcessingPlugins directory of the IA install location, an apparent leftover from a previous version, prior to this lib being included with the main executable. Judging from the file date of 05/03/2005, it was recent enough that I just assumed that it belonged there, not realising that it had been superceded. When it was removed, normal operation ensued, and all anomaly disappeared. So it can be said that for IA users who are experiencing horizontal streaking (or other artifacts) when opening a JPG file, removing or archiving (by using move) the stray DLL will effect a remedy.
Why is there a color difference between IA and (Windows Picture Viewer or Nikon's View NX)?
See the photo below. Image Analyzer is on the left, Windows Picture Viewer is on the right. As well, Nikon's View NX (not shown in example) shows the same tint as Windows Picture Viewer.

See the photo below.
You message has no picture attached. On my PC there is no difference between the color display in IA and other programs, but it could be because you have a special monitor color profile loaded. Try selecting Use monitor color profile in IA's Window menu.
