Topic: Straighten curved lines?

First of all, hello to all and thanks for making the Image Analyzer so easily available.

Here's a question: I have photographed pages from a book which I can not completely flatten. Hence, the lines near the top and the bottom end of each page are curved instead of straight. Also, the the letters towards the inner side of the book are somewhat squashed. It's, of course, all due to the perspective.

This is not a problem for humans reading the text in the image of the page. However, even the best OCR program I could find will not properly process such a page.

Is there any way to straighten the text in the image of a page?

This is the upper part of an example page.

TIA for any answer.

Hi
Image Analyzer does not have a feature for correcting such pictures but it should definitely be possible to do so there might be software out there that can.

Thank you, Michael. May I ask you what terms to look for? I thought "warp" might describe what I want, but it seems not to be the case.

Try to be more specific, something like book page scan curvature correction
